History?
My journey with comics began as a kid waaaay back in the 80’s. I loved to read (still do!) and visited our local library often. Like many other Finnish kids, I too subscribed Donald Duck -magazine, which came out every Wednesday. Barks’ and Don Rosa’s stories were the ones I waited for the most. Growing up, I realised there were other, different kind of comics… for example stuff like Tank Girl and Sin City left their mark. I’ve noticed I’m favoring black & white traditional comic art still.
Art Education?
I’ve always had some sorts of arts & crafts hobbies, but it wasn’t until (maybe?) 2019, when I started to think about drawing comics myself. I have attended watercolor painting courses in a local adult education center in and comics courses organized by Sarjakuvakeskus (Comics Center) in 2021-2022. I’m constantly self studying drawing and making comics using several online resources.
This site?
As my every day profession is something else than making comics, things happen on a tranquil but hopefully steady pace. This site is to archive the comics I’ve made and bring them to the
